Sunflowers & The Charlotte Beach Suit c/o The Seamstress of Bloomsbury // OOTD

UntitledAfternoon Peaches, a week ago I was sent this stunning spotty siren suit c/o The Seamstress Of Bloomsbury and I cannot stop wearing it! For those of you who regularly read my blog, you will know that my back garden is my little safe haven and now that I have got some pretty flowers in (thank you for all your suggestions!) it is the perfect place to relax and refocus. Whenever life gets a bit too busy, this is where I come to think, write and create.

One of my lovely friends brought me a bunch of sunflowers and reminded me just how stunning these flowers actually are. I did try and grow one in my garden but it was not meant to be. Perhaps I will try again next summer! I am of course in love with a good “red, blue and white” outfit combo but I wanted to try and branch out a little. These gorgeous sunflowers inspired me to pair this navy spotted “Charlotte” beach suit with some sunny yellow sling back heels!

One thing that I particularly love about this jumpsuit is the simple elegance you feel when wearing it.

UntitledBeing quite a statement piece in itself, I kept my accessories to a minimum (with the exception of the sunflower of course!) but it is definitely one of those outfits you can “put on in a flash” and not even have to think about. When you are short on time and stuck for something to wear, sometimes you just need “that outfit” that you can always rely on and with this hanging in your wardrobe, you will never need to deliberate again! The “Charlotte” wears really well and is so comfortable. I wore this all day, doing the housework (glam I know) running errands and then spent some time with my family out for a meal.

By the end of the day it looked exactly the same as when I had first put it on – it really is so effortless to style. I was a little concerned that as I have curves and I am only 5.2 tall that this would swamp me or not suit my shape but this was just not the case. The four button detail to the waist nips you in and creates a really flattering fit. The wide leg balances out a fuller bust and of course with a high heel underneath adds length and creates the illusion that I am 10 feet tall! I would recommend this siren suit for taller girls too as I think it could be worn with a flat pump for a more casual look if desired.

I paired this with some classic vintage pearls – a set I found at a vintage fair a few years back. I have since worn this with a pair of lilac heels and a little lilac shrug too – another colour combination that initially I wouldn’t have considered but it goes really well. I truly felt like a “lady” and will be wearing this to a performance later on in the month. If you are looking for an outfit that makes you feel classy, graceful and stylish – this is the one for you. You can purchase The Charlotte here.
